In near future, Permian basin will become one of the most productive area for oil and natural gas in the world. On the other hand, PXD low cost competitive advantage as well as the region, both will make good pair and become the greatest opportunity in near future.

Risk

The company believes in merger and acquisition and it may be threat to Pioneer's market share price in future. As the company is a small player, may find itself in larger competitive environment in future.

What makes it a successful company?

Low cost oil make the company successful. As the prices are low and quality is good, so more demand so more sales. This makes the company successful.
