Why have may countries cut public expenditures to handle financial pressures

Answer #2

In a considerable number of countries, owing to financial pressure, public expenditures have been reduced considerably. This is done to due to lack of financial resources that these countries face. Due to limited financial resources, these countries would like make best use of the financial resources they have and would like cut down unnecessary public expenditure or scale down public expenditure which they see is not of immediate priority to the country. For example some countries have scaled down space programs because they feel the money spent on space program can be made best use of by investing the same money in public healthcare or primary education.
