Answer #1

SMSF is the self managed super fund. It is one of the types of fund where it provides the benefits to its members once they are retired. In this fund, the members are also trustees of the fund. So, this creates a typical problem as both the trustee and beneficiaries are same.

The government should establisg a policy where it can intervenue in the functioning. They sould conduct a special audit. The governence forms should be tight enough. The biggest risk is of ethical issues as members are also trustee. They should implement some ethical guidance. The government should include a compliance audit. So, by taking these measures. the sustainability of SMSF can be insured.
