You have just been hired as the new supervisor of an adult team for a national accounting firm. With two years of experience, you feel technically well prepared for the assignment. However, this is your first formal appointment as a ‘MANAGER’. Things are complicated at the moment. The team has 12 members, of diverse demographic and cultural backgrounds, as well as work experience. There is an intense workload and lots of performance pressure. How will this situation challenge you to develop and use essential leadership skills and related competencies to successfully manage the team to high levels of auditing performance? Discuss. (15M)

A big part of being a successful manager would be leveraging my experience and technical skills to get the job done. But people management skills is what i feel would be the key to succeed in this situation.
Patience, comes as a true virtue in these stressful situation. Along with these, other leadership skills such as good communication skills, trust, flexibility,ability to adapt accountability and an optimistic outlook would come handy.
