Healthcare organizations finance their services in the following ways. Most organizatios do not finance their services with any one of the following ways, but usually a combination of the following ways :

  • Government funding
  • Charitable funding / NGO funding / donations
  • Trust funding
  • Out-of-pocket expenses by patients
  • Insurance - including public, private, employer-sponsored etc.
  • Employer funding (in case of healthcare organizations which operate exclusively for the establishing employers. For example, factory hospitals or clinics inside offices). This is also called corporate funding
