Discuss two methods that can be used to determine the full - employment rate of unemployment

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Two methods that can be used to determine full rate of unemployment are as follows-

1. Official estimate-official statements are combination of information from all the other methods like labour force sample surveys and social insurance statistics and employment office statistics. This method is not the preferred method when calculating the rate of unemployment.

2. Labour force sample survey-it is used to provide the most comprehensive results and it calculates unemployment by different categories such as race and gender. This method is most internationally comparable and used and unacceptable also.
