Jobs performed by securities dealer are:
a. assisting firm in issuing new securities through the underwriting,
b. trading in securities in the secondary market.
Security Dealer always looks for profit, when an individual or firm gets into any of the transaction i.e. security dealer does not act in best in the interest of potential buyer and seller of security where broker acts in the interest of potential buyer and seller.
Broker always look for the best price for potential buyer and seller whereas dealer looks for his profit-maximizing space.
