The issue price of Face book was considered as over price and with opening of trading the prices started to crash. It fell more than 50% over couple of months. This fall was over concern that the company would'nt make as much money from mobile ad revenue as it could from online ads. Further NASDAQ's trading platform was unable to handle high volume of trades. This also prevented some investors from selling stock as a result they incurr huge loss. On day of listing morgan stanley had to step in to stabilize the stock price
