Within-group variation (Sometimes called error group or error variation) is a term in ANOVA (analysis of variation) test.It refers to variation caused by differences within individual groups .In other words ,not all the values within each group are the same.
where as ,group variation is a variation that is measured between separate group of interest ,unlike within group variation,where the focus is on the difference between the population and its means ,between group variation is concerned with finding how the means of group differ from each other.
