Homework Answers

Answer #1

An academic staff can be evaluated on a 360 degree basis by taking feedback of students and taking into consideration the ratings given by the students in conjunction with the appraisal of senior teachers and head of departments.

Fellow teachers and professors feedback could also be taken into account. The assessment of teaching staffs are done by head of respective departments and also the performance of students who take their classes are an important criteria.

The timing of the appraisal is usually continual in nature and also during the end of an academic year.

The assessment criteria are

1) Research done by teachers

2) Student feedback

3) New methodology introduced in teaching process

4) Peer review
