5 factors that affect gender pay differential and constitute barriers to female from reaching higher hierarchical positions are as follows-

A. Social factor which is very much pertinent in male dominated fields where women find it difficult to fit in.social factors lead to an environment that may not be inclusive towards women because women may feel like that it needs to be like one of the boys in order to get included.

B. The corporate culture also plays an important role because it is designed in such a way that people who are hardworking and do not have time for households can survive in the long run.Women are associated with household so it is very difficult for them to get the same pay scale.

C. Maternity factors also plays an important role that affect gender pay differential and that also constituent a barrier to female from reaching higher hierarchy positions.

D. Communication style of a female is very different in regards to a male because a person who the high competitive communication style is preferred as a way of showing dominance and a business always want to be masculine so females are ignored.

E. Glass ceiling affect their hierarchical positions because despite their higher qualifications the end up making lesser than other corporates and they are not able to reach at the top levels within their companies.

presence of women in corporate leadership roles will always improve the performance of a firm because women are structured to make such decisions which are less emotional and highly calculated in nature so they will be taking risks but those who would be favourable and measured risks so a business should incorporate gender equality and remove all barriers for females from reaching higher hierarchical positions.
