How would you deal with those university personnel who would look at the experience that many of the graduating students would most likely not have compare to outside potential employees who might have the experience? Speaking of creating a portal that allows you to hire from within the university from graduate for open and existing university jobs.
Experience matters a lot in any job field. Hence those who look for experienced candidates don't want to compromise on quality of work and the time taken by each new candidate to learn new skills. But then this is also true that experienced candidates would also demand more salary than the freshers as they want value for saving company's time ans resources. Moreover experience comes with chance. If everybody starts looking for experienced candidates then where will the freshers go? Today's fresher is tomorrow's experienced employee. One shouldn't forget that.
Therefore, university should keep place for both type of employees. It should create a portal that allows the recruiter to hire in-university candidates for open positions. This will also put an end to talent drain. Who knows but the university may end up hiring a gem.
