The U.S. government tries to recruit people in armed forces by using persuation as a tool. This persuasive effort could be with television, internet advertising or external advertising such as pamphlets, billboards etc

Mass-mediated advertising is what is needed. It has to be topped up with direct marketing, event sponsorship, and internet based promotions. All this is likely to have a positive effect on recruitment. This would be best suited as it will be cheaper compared to other means and will have a large audience
