ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF BALLISTIC GALVANOMETER:

The Ballistic galvanometer is used to measure the electric charge discharged through it. The moving part provides the long oscillation period due to large moment of inertia.

ADVANTAGES

Due to large moment of inertia the ballistic galvanometer is highly sensitive which respond out rapidly changing values.

DISADVANTAGES

As compared to conventional galvanometer, Ballistic galvanometer has an artificially increased mass as it contain both a moving coil and a mechanical integrator.
