So, M2M is an acronym for machine-to-machine communications. MMI means man-machine interface. Although there are countless examples such as sensor feedback regulating the speed of an engine, for machine-to-machine "talk," if there are decisions or interventions, then a human must be included. So, when designing something requiring human interaction, what must be considered for that interface?

When designing human interaction, the considerations for man machine interface are

1. Information Presentation – Information should be presented in an easily comprehensible form so that the user should clearly and easily understand the data in the computer.
2. Language and dialogue design- The user must be able to communicate with the machine in an easy language which must require less memory and complications, yet the chances for misinterpretation must be minimized.
3. Human computer task allocation – The intelligent interface must be effectively utilized sparing the human to perform tasks which the machine can perform, which saves time and minimizes error.
4. Intelligent interface- The intelligent interface must be able to handle diverse situations with minimal reprogramming. It must be able to answer the what if questions arising due to the user experimenting with alternative strategies.
