Explain briefly the difference between the current angle equation and the load angle equation.
Q.) Answer
The load angle is between the stator field axis and rotor field axis in synchronous generator/ motor. In motor the stator field axis leads rotor field axis and in case of generator it lags behind rotor field axis. Load angle gives the idea about the power system stability in a transmission lines. If it is less than 90 degree than system is said to be stable and if it is greater than 90 degree than the system is said to be in unstable region whereas current angle gives information about the line is inductive or capacitive . If the current angle is lagging then it is said to be inductive load and if it is leading than the system is said to be capacitive signifies about the flow of reactive power . If it is inductive load then it deliver reactive power and if it is capacitive then it is absorbing reactive power.
