How do pulsed waveforms and resulting timing diagrams assist in digital circuit design?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

In digital design timing diagrams help us to clarify the sequencing of data and control signals as they pass through our circuit. They also serves an important role in valueable documentation.

Some basic logics and circuits we can easily understand the their operations and response to a digital input from their timing diagram especially for counters and registers, shifting operations ect,. And we can design any digital circuit from the input and output timing diagram, if it have any clock or control signals we have to consider that also. Like gain and frequency response in analog circuits we need the system timing waveform in digital system to analyse and understand the behaviour of the digital system. We have lot of tools for generating timing diagram of a digital system. Mainly in testing the digital system timing diagrams plays an important role.
