How can a short circuit be characterized?
1. If the poles of the power supply unit are connected directly in an off-load mode, the electric circuit power is high
2. The LED is connected without a resistor
3. Conductors can heat up and the adjacent parts of the structure can ignite
4. High brightness of the LED
5. The LEDs’ light is blinking and unstable
Solution:
The Short circuit can be characterised by the below points-
1. The LED is connected without a resister: When, a LED is connected accross a supply without any resister, it is almost equivalent to short circuit. Because, the LED has very low resistance.
2.The conductors can heat up and adjacent parts can ignite: When short circuit current flows, the magnitude of the current is very high. Hence, power loss in the conductors is very high. It results in high heat dissipation in conductors and conductors might get burnt due to it.
3.High brightness of LED: If fault occurs in part of circuit, the magnitude of current increases to very high value which results increase in the brightness of LED momentarily.
