Spectral peaks signify the intensity of a particular frequency in a signal or image. Spectral refers to a component of the spectrum, i.e. a particular frequency. In case of a signal, fourier transform is computed on the auto-correlation of signal to obtain the power density spectrum. Higher the magintude of a particular frequency, higher is its presence in the underlying signal. Similarly, in an image, 2-D fourier transform is computed to analyze the image. Time-strides intervals are simply use to get a fine view of the image for anomaly detection. Here also the spectral peaks are basically the strength of a particular component in the image. These peaks can be use to provide a contrast between the expected and actual output for a particular application.
