Assume you only have an AC power supply in the lab but you need DC power for your application. Design, simulate and build a DC power supply.

Design requirements:

AC voltage: 2.5 Vp-p , f=60Hz

DC voltage output: 1V (As close to 1V as possible) with the smallest ripple step possible.

Filter frequency equation: f= 1/(2(pi)(R)(C))

Your group has been asked to design a portion of a power supply which reduces the variation due to ripple from the rectifier stage. The completed power supply is intended to provide 300W of 48V DC power to an RF transmitter. The transformer stage transforms a 3-phase AC power source at 60 Hz from 120 V RMS to 50V RMS, which is rectified before being applied to your circuit. You are designing the regulator, not the rectifier. The input to...

Load resistance = 1k So Basically you just need to find the capacitance of the filtering capacitor. Please tell me how. This is what I did, but I think I'm wrong. The Vripple I got is (.05)*17 = .85 V. Then according to my manual, C...
