Hello,
I was wondering what it means for the power factor of a synchronous motor to change and how changing the load changes the PF, i mean what is changing here? the load that we add to the shaft is mechanincal then how come the power factor changes?

A 50-inch long belt is used to transmit power from a motor to a working shaft. The two sheaves involved are both the same size, hence the belt is not being used to reduce or increase speed or torque, but simply to “couple” two shafts. The motor’s rated power is 50 hp and the required service factor is 1.25. The motor speed is 1160 rpm and the sheave diameters are 7.9”. How many 5V belts are required here? What is...

Hello, I need a summary of the article below. Thanks It is only natural for moms to wonder if they are doing a good job as a mom? Constantly we wonder things like “how to be a good mom?” and “Am I a good mom?” All moms struggle with the question of whether she is doing a good mom and doing a good job as a mother. It’s only natural to worry about our children. And whenever one of them...

hello, I have a technical question about management accounting, specifically what to include when calculating the fixed cost in order to find the break even point. let's say a company X wants to start a new project, with an operation life of "b years". usually, when calculating fixed costs, one should include everything that does not change with respect of the value of output/sales, such as rent, bills, insurance etc.. however, if the company X pays the full lease of...

Hello, please review the statement below and determine if the statement is right or not (and why). Explain the central limit theorem The central limit theorem states that when there’s a large enough sample size (generally 30 or more) with a finite level of variance, then the mean from all of the samples, from the same population, will be approximately equal to the mean of the population. There are three different components of the theorem. The first is successive sampling...

A model cost/benefit analysis of solar power. The main ingredients of this analysis are the power used (required) and the power delivered. For a simple model we want to use broader averages. Used: An American home has an average power use of 1.2 kW. That means that considering all of the daily variation, the difference between night and day and the seasons, etc., the average at any given second is 1.2 kJ per sec = 1.2 kW. Delivered: The home...
