A speaker should produce all the frequency component equally at the output as shown in the frequency response of an ideal speaker below
But unfortunately this doesnot happens in practical speaker. The frequency response of a practical speaker is somewhat like below
Here f1 and f2 are 3dB frequencies while fr is a resonant frequency. A 3dB frequency is a frequency at which the output power is dropped by half because
A resonant frequency is a frequency at which the output power is maximum. Notice the peak in the frequency response, thats why it is a resonant frequency.
