  • In 3 prong devices there are 3pins basically we use 2 pins
  • But if we see some circuits have 3 prong devices for more safety the bigger and thicker pin plays an important role let we check why its important
    • Normally many circuits contains capacitor and inductors they store some energy ,when we insert the plug then the charges are discharged through the earth pin (bigger one)
    • And it have more thickness to flow the charges fast for discharge
    • And also it have more length compare to normal one because when we insert plug first earth pin inserted so discharge takes place
    • Then circuit is protected from short circuit happen with capacitor and inductor
