Answer #1

Top down and bottom up methods are two types of approaches used in nanofabrication.the bottom approach is more advantageous than top down method because of the former has a better chance of producing nanostructures with less defects, more homogeneous chemical composition and better short and long ordering.Thats why's carbon nanotubes are fabricated using a bottom up method instead of a top down method.

In present scebasce the world run with intigrati circuit design. For that purpose a top down method gives the fast results, results oriented design to the circuit.and it is easy to develop a algorithm according to our intigrated circuit design. But in case bottom up method it is tuff to meet these desired conditions.so, that's why an integrated circuit is fabricated using a top down method instead of a bottom up method.
