The capacitance of a 3 core cable belted type are measured and found as follows:
(i) the capacitance between 3 cores connected together and the sheath is 8 uF.
(ii) the capacitance between one core conductor and the other two conductors connected together to the sheath is 5 uF.
Draw the measurement configuration and the equivalent circuit for both cases and calculate:
a) the capacitance to the neutral and the capacitance between any two conductors.
b) the charging current and the total charging kVA when the cable is connected to a 11 kV,50 Hz, 3 phase supply.
