Capacitance type fuel probes the signal wire connected with the fuel quantity indicator,

a) Series

b) Parallel

Please help to choose the best one.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

b) parallel

Because,In large and high performance aircraft this electronic fuel quantity systems used , These are more costly system and it having no any moving parts in the tank sending unit. Variable capacitance transmitters are installed in the fuel tanks extending from the top to the bottom of each tank in the usable fuel. Several of these tank units , or fuel probes my be installed in large tank and they are wired in parallel. As the level of fuel changes the capacitance of each unit changes .
