Calculus is used in the response process of an electrical/electronic design system as

Capacitors and inductors are basically used in design of  electrical/electronic design system. And to find their value

1) To find voltage or current of a capacitor

To find the current through a capacitor in the circuit multiply capacitance with time derivative of voltage through capacitor.

And to find voltage through a capacitor, we need to integrate current wrt time and divide it with capacitance value.

ii)

Similarly for inductors to find voltage we need differentiation

And to find current flowing an inductor we need integral calculus.
