Why does the starting capacitor has the dual values and whereas the running capacitor does not have? 1) can we replace the starting capacitor with a running capacitor and replace the running capacitor with a starting capacitor.

The two values capacitor motor uses capacitor for starting and for running. The capacitor used permanently during running time is called run capacitor. Run capacitor provides good running performance. The capacitor at time of start provides high starting torque, so it is called stqrting capacitor. At time of of start both capacitor works, when running of motor come i.e. 80 to 90 percent of rated speed achieved the staring capacitor comes out from the operation and only running capacitor works. Both capacitor can't be replaced by each other. Reason behind this theory is that the capacitor at start may cause high dielectric loss during running condition.
