I want all information about induction motor (stator & rotor ) , how it work ? What the relation between stator and rotor ,, and how both work together in the motor ??

Answer #1

The principle of induction motor and transformer both are same. Thats why induction motor is also called as rotating transformer.

Induction motor works on the principle of electro magnetic induction. There is no electrical cinnection between stator and rotor.

Whenever three phase ac supply is given to the induction motor, rotating magnetic field is develeoped between stator and rotor. This rotating magnetic field cuts the stationary rotor.so emf is induced in the rotor conductors. The rotor is short circuited.so rotor current is flowing. So two different fluxes interacting.so torque is developed. Then rotor starts rotating.
