The third line of defense Against the Electric shocks are Lockout and Tagout Arrangements done at the various facilities and machines . They are basically the indicators or boards showing there is shock risk hazard involved at that particular machinery or equipment . They are used to warn outsiders or other employees during an ongoing maintainence activity regarding danger of electric shock if they violated or ignored symbol /tagout instructions .This also helps the Maintainence team to know active status of work in progress during actual maintainence .
