in a DC MOTOR, how does the dead zone get effected by the load( with load and without load). gives your explainations

Answer #1

In dead zone , with change in input there is no change in output means there is a delay in output. In dc motor with load or without load dead zone affects the performance of the dc motor . The internal and external characteristics of dc motor changes. The plot of open circuit characteristics and short circuit characteristics will be different according to which there will be different performance altogether. Let us take a practical example a dc motor is used in conveyor belt for rotating it over which it carries medicinal product . If there is a change in input with no change in output then there will be chance of different composition in medicine which is not desired hence the dead zone should be minimise as small as possible.

You must design a power transmission system to connect a DC motor to its load. The motor is given in the motor catalogue as a BM1400 motor. You must create a transmission that will connect to this motor and have a two stage gear reduction (i.e. there must be two sets of gear reduction) with a total drive reduction of 10:1. The final output shaft must be at 90 deg from the input shaft. You must specify all the components...

A dc series motor is connected to a constant-toque load, which may be considered to require a constant electromagnetic torque regardless of motor speed. Neglect the voltage drops due to the armature and series-field resistances, the armature reaction, and the effects of saturation.
