I would like to use an oscilloscope to verify that voltage changes due to the body's resistance when pressed by hand by electric current on the saw blade. how should we do it.

*** DEAR FRIEND PLEASE DO NOT TRY DOING THIS PRACTICALLY if something goes wrong it may kill you.

* Connect an oscilloscope input to a saw blade, scuff on some hard thing.

* Wave your hand near the saw blade and see how much the trace on the oscilloscope is deflected.

* Adjust the scopes vertical gain to give a large deflection during your hand waving (PLEASE note that you should not touch the saw blade when you are charged).

* Use a DC high voltage power supply with a large current limiting series resistance to charge your body to 5kv.

* Wave your charged hand near the saw blade and see how far the oscilloscope trace deflects.

* Adjust the high voltage until the deflection is about the same as when your body was charged by the rugscuffing.

Read the power supply voltage setting and you will know the approximate change in the body voltage due to body's resistance.

1. we will use a voltage divider, which divides voltage into parts. A practical concern about a voltage divider is that it draws current and consumes energy. In digital electronics, a rule of thumb is that the energy consumption of a voltage divider should NOT be more than a few milliwatts. Estimate the order of magnitude of the total resistance if you want to divide a 5 V signal. 2. we will use a piezoelectric speaker or buzzer (often simply...

I just did a lab and I can't figure out why the voltage behaves this way. Circuit one: A 1.5 volt battery and a voltmeter V= 1.319V Circuit two: Same as circuit one but there is a bulb parallel with the voltmeter and the voltage drops to 1.156V. Shouldn't the voltage be the same because they are in parallel and how can you use theory or otherwise to explain this? Is it due to resistance decreasing because the bulb abd...

Philips Curve/Modified Philips Curve & Theta Relations? I would like to know how theta affects the unemployment rate in philips curve. I have concluded the following situations: 1. When theta equals to zero, we get the original Phillips curve, a relation between the inflation rate and the unemployment rate; 2. When theta is positive, the inflation rate depends not only on the unemployment rate, but also on last year's inflation rate; 3. When theta equals to 1, we get a...
