what color is generally filtered out of an incandescent lamp to create a lamp that improves color appearance to the typical observer?

Incandescent lamps tend to produce more red and yellow lights than
either green or blue, i.e. it tends to make the natural colors much
more warmer in tone. Thus, you have to subtract red color (if you
subtract yellow, a bit of green would also go, since yellow = red +
green). Subtracting red color will make the tones much colder and
will give a natural color appearance to a typical observer.
