1. Why is it not necessary to insulate the bars inside a squirrel cage rotor?

The bars of squirrel cage rotor are the conductors where the low collage emf is induced by the rotating magnetic field due to electromagnetic infection principle and hence high current flows through the bars since they are short circuited by the End rings .

**So as voltage induced in bars is of low magnitude , there is no need to provide insulation over the Copper or Aluminium Bars of Rotor

**Also the bars are placed in rotor at some distance from each other so no need to insulate them .
