Transmission line & Telegrapher equation problem.

explain the calculation and results.

Discuss under what condition can the coaxial transmission line be treated as two simple conducting line with no electromagnetic wave propagating inside.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The coaxial transmission line be treated as two simple conducting line with no electromagnetic wave propagating inside when the characteristic impedance doen not match the input impedance . the output impedance is differ from the input impedance. The skin effect also paly a major role for coaxial cable doen not propagate the electromagnetic waves.his restriction is caused by the alternating magnetic field that the current itself generates within the conductor

Problem Two: a. Derive or explain the condition for total internal reflection b. A beam of monochromatic light is put into a fiber optic cable. The fiber has index of refraction of 1.55 . It is surrounded by a “cladding” with index of refraction 1.36 and then an absorbing protective black layer. At what minimum angle of incidence is the light reflected back into the fiber ? c. We now have two ways to transmit digital information a distance of...

Under normal conditions, healthy heart cells (cardiac myocytes)prefer fatty acids as their fuel which ultimately results in energy being generated from oxidative phosphorylation through the electron transport chain. We will talk about how fatty acids are oxidatively metabolized in lecture 10. The condition ischemic cardiomyopathy is a result of narrowing of heart arteries which leads to decreased blood flow and a decrease in oxygen delivery to the muscle cells of the heart. In the ischemic heart, metabolism shifts from fatty...
