Let’s say that you want to compare, quarter over quarter, the increase
in the number of new jobs in the US to the number of new jobs in the
tiny Kingdom of Bahrain. In that comparison you find that the rise in
new jobs last quarter was 20,000 in Bahrain but 400,000 in the US.
May we conclude from these data that the performance of the job
market is much stronger in the US than it is in Bahrain? If not, what is
the lesson here?
New jobs in US = 400,000 while it is 20,000 in Bahrain
From this we cannot conclude that job market is stronger in US than in Bahrian until and unless we consider the factor which affects the job industry. There could be industry transformation taking place in US where they need more people on board which have already taken place in Bahrain earlier. There could be rise in demand of labor in US only for short time or you can say for specific months in a year.
