Defense system with dogs and bodyguards for a particular house in a street full of houses is one example where you can understand that it is a private good because one person in the colony pace for it for his own security but in one way when you see it it is not a private good because because of those bodyguards and the security system in play, enter neighborhood can take advantage of it with the security system where the security will act as a default security for their neighbourhood as a result of which the entire neighbourhood is protected. in this way there are certain people who are actually not paying for the security in the neighbourhood but actually benefited from it which means it is available for free for them and that is the reason why you can understand this is not a pure private good
