why do you think the u.s. experince with inflation over the last 50 years has been so much milder than in many other countries?

The inflation is particularly milder I'm US when compared to other economies is primarily the impact of globalisation and free trade where the accessibility of cheaper imports have not allowed prices to drive up first from Japan, then China,Mexico,India and other developing nation where the wages are much lower than that of US and hence the cheaper imports leading to lower inflation in US.

Other factor is the atarting point fifty years ago too the US wage in reale terms were much higher than the majority of nations and hence starting with higher base led the catching up effect where other developing nation started catching up in wage Growth and hence US having lower inflation compared to others
