Did America make the right decision to intervene in the Korean Conflict? and how is it still a issue in 2020?
In my view US intervention in the Korean conflict was not a right decision.
In order to support and establish democracy across the world, US unnecessarily intervened in too many conflicts which did not prove a right decision for the country. I believe propagation of ideologies should not be forced as it sends an opposite image of forcible propagation of ideology. Brute force has rarely worked to change ideologies across the countries.
North Korea which chose communism over democracy still considers US as an enemy country. It has many times warned to use mass-destructive nuclear weapons to destroy US as it fears that US may bring a regime change in the country to bring a favorable government. South Korea is a democracy with a free economy. US shares very friendly relations with South Korea and that is why even now there is strong distrust between North Korea and South Korea.
