The discussion can start with your general ideas or arguments about unemploynment, whether you think it is bad or good for the economy. For eg. I feel unemploynment is not a good indicator for an economy as it leads to reduced production capacity for any country. Then you can also state the benefits of unemplynment that people get in several countries for eg. USA . Then, the case of covid can be considered that there have been so many layoffs and the unemploynment benefits that people have recieved because of that.
