Miller was born in the Bronx in 1917 and develop a Brooklyn Dodgers fan. He operated for the National War Labor Board before in time joinning the United Steelworks Union. Marvin Miller was the Executive Director of the Major League Baseball Players Association from 1966 to 1982. He was appointed following concern by main players over their retirement payments.
