Back in August 2017, a leaked memo by Google employee James Damore alleged that the company was discriminating in its hiring practices based on race or gender. He claimed that Google was “pressing individual managers to increase diversity” and is “using race or gender” to decide which workers are promoted and with which teams job candidates are placed. Damore made controversial statements like: “Women, on average, have more openness directed towards their feelings and aesthetics rather than ideas. Women generally also have a stronger interest in people rather than things, relative to men . . . These two differences in part explain why women relatively prefer jobs in social or artistic areas. More men like coding because it requires systemizing and even within software engineers, comparatively more women work on the front end, which deals with both people and aesthetics.” Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, criticized the memo that claimed women had biological issues that prevented them from being as successful as men in technology. He said Damore’s statements had “crossed the line by advancing harmful gender stereotypes in our workplace.” Damore was fired by Google after 3 1/2 years for writing the memo critical of the company’s diversity efforts. all multinational companies are seeking women CEO'S Which is to be discussed widely. after the industrial revolution and the 2nd world war, women entered the forefront of different occupations the economic independence of women fueled their arguments for equality in gender. which begins with political equality of voting rights and for demanding for equal wages for the same work. after the industrial revolution when the manual labor disappeared all technological embedded activities were suited to women also.

well as of now the world is moving to a different phase of growth and development. where talking about gender equality from women's point of view seems meaningless. The world is stimulated and women are more aware than before. Hence the concept of gender equality should be discussed from the side of both men and women. when we call gender equality it means equal rights to both the gender, men, and women. Hence its high time for man to grow their skills with the same efforts put by that of women.
