Regional policy stresses on deruction of regional disparties and there are several policies related to this. A reform of the extensive fiscal equilization from 2020 onwards is one such policy.The Federal government should develop nationwide support system for weak regions.This includesJoint Task for the Improvement of Regional Economic Structure and EU Structural Funds as well as other policies.  

Science and technology has been very important in Germany and research and development has occuped a very important place.. The output of scientific research of Germany is world's best.Scientific research in the country is supported by industry, German universities and state institutions like Max Planck Society and Deutsche Forschunggemeinschaft.Germany has set the goal of spending 3.5% of GDP on research by 2025.

The efficiency of German industry and particularly its  innovative strength is Germany's economic strength.The German government has brought within its high tech strategy , research , technology and innovative policies.  It is very much a neccessity to reshape Germany's industrial polic,y so that the industry will be very important in the economy of German. Digitilization is bringing a structural change.The potential of the key enabling industries is to  be used . There is special program for aerospace, maritime industry and information and communication technology.Within Federal government's high tech strategy lies health , communication  and security,etc.
