a gardener states that for 1 dollar worth of seed he was able to grow over a 30 dollars worth of vegetables that he then sold. he considers it to be an enormous amount of profit. would one agree or disagree with his conclusion and why? explain in some sentences please
YES!!! I agree that the gardener will be in a profit. In these example gardener brought seeds for 1 dollar and then sowed seeds on land and finally from these seeds vegetables were grown which worth 30 dollar and he sold these vegetable at 30 dollar or more
so let us assume that seeds were brought for 1 dollar and from these seeds vegetables which he gets worth around 30 dollar and he sold it at 30 dollar so
profit=(30-1)=29 dollars
So profit in percentage will be (29/30)=96.66 percent
since 29 dollar is much larger than 1 dollar and even we assume that out of 29 dollar he might spend around 5 dollar for other requirement he will still be in profit.
