Homework Answers

Answer #1

A) One of the major organization in the world is Coca Cola has a mission statement of: 1)Refresh the world and 2) Make a difference. The company enjoys a lot of advantages in its sector. Being a market leader in a duopoly market helps it have a upper hand in fixing prices of its product which impacts the bargaining power of customers.

Due to lack of competition, the company also has advantages while dealing with suppliers as suppliers had to depend on their orders.

Duopoly structure limits the entry of new competitors and in case if there is a new company which does well can easily be absorbed by the company and can be brought under its umbrella. Same goes with substitutes. Even due to the goodwill and brand image of the company, a substitute can hardly impact the customer base of Coca Cola.

The only rival Coca Cola has is Pepsi. Being only two player market it doesn’t create to much competition and help both the company to save cost on rivalry.

B) Coca Cola always try to keep its product at par with the trend which benefits it a lot as the new generation always want to orient themselves to products which are trending. Next thing that helps Coca Cola is its massive distribution network which helps to deliver its products to huge customer base and build new markets. Apart from this Coca Cola introduces products in line with the local taste and preferences which builds its brand image even in foreign markets.
