I want to understand the Investment (I) component of the GDP calculation. I read about it....

I want to understand the Investment (I) component of the GDP calculation.

I read about it. However, in order to have a sharp understandings, I need to understand it by examples of transactions that is explained why or (why not) considered as Investment used in Economics, giving the justification

For example: The company purchased furnuiture for the its staff office. Is it considered as consumption C or is it considered as investment I.
