Germany and China both have high trade ratio that is trade/GDP where trade = imports+ exports. However, Germany has the ratio of almost 70% whereas China is at 32%. This could be because Germany is at the heart of biggest trade bloc in the world whereas China still relies more on bilateral deals.

Germany ranks much higher on ease of doing business rankings vs China standing at 20 against latter's 78. This means investing in Germany is much easier compared to China.
