You are the manager of the customer service department and you have six employees who report to you. Your customer base has doubled in the past two years. As a result, employees have been working ten hour days for the past six months to keep up with the increasing customer demands. The workload is creating a high level of tension and you are sure that if this goes on, your staff will suffer physically and mentally.

You have gone to your supervisor to request some temporary help to assist them. You have done a good job building your case because your boss has given you the okay to hire three additional permanent workers to help alleviate the workload. In addition, he has surprised you by giving the approval to increase staff salaries by 10%.

To reward your staff for their hard work, you are inviting them to a celebration lunch to be held on Monday July 27 from 12 noon until 2 pm at the local Milestones Restaurant. You need to confirm employee attendance in order to make the reservations and to get any information on dietary restrictions, as needed. Write the appropriate correspondence to your staff announcing the changes being made and asking them to confirm their attendance at the luncheon.
