Nobody knows what is their reason for why they want get re-elected as leaders but most of the cases they will try to do good for the people who were electing them. In many cases where politicians are getting re-elected only if they are doing good administration for their people as if they are not doing anything than people will never elect them again in a democracy. So they will bend to wishes of donors.
