1. Excellent communication skills is a feature of great leaders. The best managers are able to get their staff on the same page so that not seven different definitions of the goal work towards the same target. Managers must have the capacity to communicate verbally. But the best ones can also interact just as effectively through the written word.
Managers need to be confident that the decisions they 're making are the right ones to retain the support of their teams. After making a tough decision, managers need to be able to persuade their teams to move forward even the employees who would have made another choice if they were in charge. Candidates that express faith are much more likely to inspire their entire workforce including those who disagree Great managers understand that they are the ones in charge, that is, they are responsible for the performance of everybody the successes and failures. To this end, all of their employees are kept on tabs to see what they can do to help them become better workers and develop professionally.
2. Management style is so hard to put your finger on, but generally speaking, I think a good manager offers clear instructions and stays fairly hands-off, but is ready and willing to step in to provide advice, knowledge and assistance when needed. I am trying my best to make that my style of management. I always go out of my way in terms of what makes me special, to make sure I know when my team needs support. I don't hang around and wait for my direct reports to call me to them. That means lots of casual check-ins, both on the job they are doing as well as on their overall work satisfaction and mental health.

Good leaders are inspiring workers to work hard and to fulfill organizational needs in one way or another. Some leaders may inspire employees to work hard while others may cause employees to worry about the consequences of not working hard. Both methods work to drive motivation and one might work better than the other depending on the specific style of the manager and the organization's culture.
It is important that leaders undertake action by deciding who will perform what tasks, when the tasks are to be done, and by what means the tasks are to be carried out. Without a clearly defined strategic development plan and effective coordination between managers and other parties, an organization will struggle no matter how powerful the other management leadership aspects are. Managers should be able to initiate quick action to make use of human resources to fulfill business needs.
4. Management and leadership in many organisations are also seen to be the same. Although the two share a number of similar traits, they differ in the sense that while all leaders are executives, not all executives are executives. Management and leadership are two complementary attributes which are interlinked. It is impossible to disengage one from the other. Leaders motivate and inspire, while managers plan , organize and coordinate. A leader puts his eyes to the bigger picture, while a manager puts together all the pieces of the daily puzzle. A leader is a commander-in - chief in military terms whilst a manager is a general field.
A manager is often said to ask when and how, while a leader asks when and what. However, if a company's leader merely manages the corporation rather than exploiting its people's true potential, the organization will be falling behind its competition. Equally, administrators often have to take on leadership positions in order to get a job done. Leadership and administrative positions are often transferable. A good manager can take up challenges head-on just as a good leader does. Similarly, great leaders are known to engage in the nitty-gritty of day-to-day operations to boost production and speed delivery. In short, both leaders and administrators need to be the source of motivation, empathy and integrity
